community graffiti...

I check up on some fi5e pieces from time to time, and today I found something totally new. One of the graffiti artists whose tag was used for the creation of the 'A' taxonomy actually found is character and tagged over it! The "NEA" tag (or "REA"? I'm embarrassed to say I'm not sure) was applied on top of the poster. It is written at 90 degrees to the print but you can see the similarity in the 'A', as well as the small torn reproduction in the bottom right corner. The response to this project has been the most rewarding of anything I've done in the streets so far, and I'm looking forward to putting a lot of time into this after graduation.

Would this happen to be the poster on University near 14th? Some of us Graffiti Archaeology heads have been tracking that particular poster as it disintegrates over time. See Adam Greenfield's photoset "The Evidence of Duration" here:

By the way, I'm a big fan of your work, and your latest videos really kick ass.
