Digital Projection Test...

Friday night I did some more digital projection tests. These videos don't do justice to how fun it was to see this stuff projected 6 stories high, but if you squint your eyes and use your imagination you can start to get an idea of what it looked like.
launch JESUS SAVES projection test
Big thanks to FONG and LEGAL OBSERVER (aka the Notorious I.N.G.) for putting in a lot of time and effort to take this footage. And, as always, thanks to HELL and JESUS SAVES.... hope you like it!
I am hoping to meet with a couple more writers and finally figure out how to project from a moving vehicle in the next 10 days..... stay tuned.
*religious disclaimer:
HELL and JESUS_SAVES are two of my favorite graffiti writers in NYC. Their inclusion in the graffiti analysis studies has little to do with what their tags spell, but more to do with where and how often their tags appear in the city. It is only a coincidence that their names seem to have a common religious theme.

The music in the HELL clip was Prefuse 73 from the album Surrounded by Silence. In the JESUS_SAVES clip the music was from the Beck album, Guero. And in the a href=Windows clip it was De La Soul from the The Grind Date.

Yes, brilliant. What type of projector are you using?

I had an idea about projectors about a year ago but a friend told me it was ridiculous...pssht. Great work here. What's up with Jesus Saves though? I've seen them all over the country for like a decade...all different though, there's just one person claiming it now? That's kinda like claiming "Sid Lives" or an 'A' with a circle around it or something. The idea of doing full films is excellent however. Great stuff.

I can't speak about JESUS SAVES graffiti tags found outside of New York, but I'm pretty confident that it is one person responsible for all of these tags in NYC. Which if you have seen how many there are you know how impressive a feat this is. I don't think at all that he is claiming to be the only person using the phrase, but maybe if he is reading this he can comment on it.
