drips...
This is one of my favorite tags right now. It's all drip and intelligently takes advantage of curves and smooth painted metal surfaces. The rumor is that these are the work of KR (which seems to fit his ink and line style), but I'm not completely sure of this. Either way it's great to see people innovating in ink.

*Little background, The last shot you see is of KR or (King Razor)
He's been ripping up the SF Graff sceen since i was old enough to
understand what it was. He has had numerious galleries and has painted
with the likes of Twist, Kaws, Giant and other famous SF Graff artist.
KR and co. used to mix their own ink it was just until recently (about
3 years ago) when he started selling KRink. If you're wondering what
he uses as a marker it's one of those bottles of squeeze on shoe
polish you can find pretty much anywhere. Just empty the bottle, wash
that nasty stuff out and apply KRink.

It's definetly art. All you guys who are talking shit are just jealouse you don't have the balls to do it. It's so much cooler seeing a mailbox all dripped out than just sitting there being an ugly blue box... And why not do it on a canvas? Because the whole thing about graffiti is that you force your artwork onto people. How could you compare any art gallery to afreeway bridge that Hundreds of thousands of people will see in one day.

literally, yes, any fool can make drips. however, i've never seen anything like KR's drips as a tag itself and thats what makes it unique. its different and, i would say, progressive. simplifying a tag to just drips exemplifies the drips rather than just being a part of the tag - i like that.
look at it conceptually rather than figuratively - thats what seperates those who understand it and those who don't (and most likely never will).

FYI, this is KR. He had a show at Agnes B a while back and the invite was an image of one of these peices. I think they are great.
