Swoon Retouch...

I noticed that the Swoon piece on 21st and the West Side Highway recently got a face lift. You can see below what it looked like before:

And now if you look closely you can see that a new layer has been put on top of the face:

It reminded me of an interview I read of hers on GammaBlog back in 2003 when she said:

"It’s funny the way these decay, every time I see a photograph, I always expect to see that the expressions are very different or not present anymore. It’s all part of the process." ~SWOON

Remembering Neckface...

I was just looking through 'neckface' tags on flickr and remembering just how great his stuff is. The "My Old Lady" piece is still one of my all time favorites.

MUL - Capitalism & Vandalism

Razorapple.com has been reporting on a whole train done by MUL (Made You Look). I didn't know that's what MUL even stood for and have now also solved the mystery of who is responsible for one of my all time favorites which shows up in just about every photograph taken from the Brooklyn Promenade (pictured above). I am usually of the opinion that selling T-Shirts and products related to graffiti comes off as pretty weak but when you go this big it some how makes it more hard core. Get your own MUL T-shirt here.... finally someone has achieved the perfect blend of capitalism and vandalism.
